The name

“Antan” means days gone by. Les délices d’antan are the dishes worth taking your time over.

The name promises cooking rooted in recipes handed down: slow-cooked tagines, couscous, and Marrakchi tanjia cooked for hours in a clay urn. Around them, a few classics from further afield complete the menu.

The place

Souk Jeld Sidi Abdelaziz, number 1. The Souk Jeld is the leather souk: a maze of workshops in the heart of the medina, where craftsmen still work by hand.

You arrive on foot, through the lanes of the souks, between the sound of the workshops and the scent of spices.
